South Coast Holiday & Leisure Parks

About Us

As a family-owned business, here at Shorefield Holidays, we have been welcoming guests and visitors to our parks since 1958 and operate eight holiday and leisure parks in the UK, each based in an enviable location on the stunning South Coast.

We provide high-quality holiday accommodation in fully-equipped caravans, cozy lodges, many with hot tubs, Luxury houses and stunning tree houses, as well as touring, camping & glamping pitches. Our Hampshire and Dorset locations offer our holiday guests an extensive range of leisure facilities and activities not to mention a huge variety of restaurants, bars and retail outlets.

Award-winning business

Family is at the core of our business while embracing all the needs of a high-quality family holiday in the 21st century. Ever since our founder, Dr Robert Pollock, bought a small caravan park next to a worked-out gravel pit on the south coast in 1958 - because he couldn't find anywhere to pitch his holiday caravan - we've never lost sight of why people choose to spend their precious downtime with Shorefield.

Whether you are looking for a family holiday, activity holiday, short break or weekend break, Shorefield Holidays has all the essential elements to create the perfect holiday for you in one of the UK’s most popular holiday destinations.

Awards & Recognitions

Throughout our 60 years in business, we have been very proud to receive many awards for many aspects of our business, from our David Bellamy Conservation Awards which highlight our dedication to the flora and fauna that reside on our parks, to our TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence Awards which reflects our high standards of customer care.

Our history

Shorefield Holidays was formed on the 4th July 1958 by the late Dr Robert Pollock. When he was unable to find a touring pitch for the family’s annual holiday, he purchased a small caravan park next to a worked-out gravel pit at Milford on Sea and so the company was born.

For the first eighteen years, the business was run by Dr Pollock as a sideline to his main career as a General Practitioner in Bedford. The Doc, as he was known, used to drive the 260 miles every Wednesday to visit the park. His evenings were spent paying the bills and collecting the site fees. When he retired from medicine, Dr Pollock moved to Milford and spent many hours listening to his customers and staff, whilst walking the park with his dog.

Dr Pollock’s children, the present Directors, joined the business in the 1970s bringing with them new skills. The family-run company has gone from strength to strength and now consists of eight parks all situated within Hampshire and Dorset.

A large group of people, including children and adults, gather around a colorful "Welcome to Shorefield" sign. Many are smiling and waving, exuding a festive atmosphere. The background features trees and a clear sky.
