Pitch pricing includes up to 6 people and a single vehicle. Any additional vehicles must be parked in the shared car parking areas. Only one tent/tourer per pitch. Please book a separate pitch for each unit you are bringing.

Wilksworth Caravan Park offers self-catering caravans, luxurious shepherd huts, touring & camping pitches and a stunning five-bedroom house, all in the heart of Dorset's countryside. Wilksworth is well worth a visit!

The park itself is centred around Tudor Rose House, a five-bedroom 16th century Grade II listed building once owned by King Henry VIII and listed in the Domesday Book.

The park is also a gateway to some of the most spectacular countryside in Britain, with the beautiful Cranborne Chase, historic New Forest, and Hardy Country all on its doorstep. Located on the edge of the International Dark Sky Reserve, the park offers a front-row seat to the awe-inspiring beauty of the Cranborne Chase National Landscape. Immerse yourself in the wonder of unspoiled night skies, dotted with an incredible array of stars. Perfect for stargazing enthusiasts and curious minds alike, it’s a chance to experience the magic of the cosmos like never before.

Overview

The stunning parkland setting is centred around the Grade II* listed Tudor Rose House, which is available to holiday in. The wider park boasts award-winning facilities, with lovely countryside views for your next self-catering, touring, camping or glamping break.

Park Facilities

With fun-filled facilities in open spaces throughout the park, the whole family is sure to enjoy a getaway at Wilksworth.

Enjoy the great outdoors with our full-size tennis court and new Pickleball court, outdoor table tennis and dog exercise paddock. The superb heated outdoor swimming pool, complete with a shallow splash pool for our younger guests, is open during the main summer months from the 24 May and can be enjoyed 7 days a week during school holidays and outside of school holidays, the pool will be open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday (all weather permitting). The pool closes on 1st September 2026.

The park's shared shower and toilet blocks are open, however, we advise that you make use of your own 'on board' facilities where possible. Throughout the summer holiday season we welcome fantastic street food vendors on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings.

Wilksworth is a gateway to some of the most scenic countryside in Britain meaning the park offers a peaceful retreat for a getaway. Stay in one of our luxury self-catering caravans, a 3 bed pet friendly Sensation or one of our 2 bed Sublime no hot tub caravans.

Touring, Camping & Glamping

Featuring wide green lawns framed with trees, the well-spaced grass, hardstanding & executive pitches and luxurious shepherd huts offer uninterrupted views of the rolling Dorset countryside.

Our touring and camping pitch price includes up to 6 people, one car and either a tent, touring caravan or motor home with standard awning. we have shared shower and toilet blocks at our campsites, we do however advise that you make use of your own 'on board' facilities in your motorhome or tourer as much as possible where available.

Our 2 stunning handmade shepherd huts 'Baa One' and 'Baa None' sleep 2 people and are fully fitted with a pull-down wall bed, kitchen, wood burner and shower room with toilet.

Park Passes

All Wilksworth guests are welcome to use the facilities at our sister park, Oakdene Forest Park, just a 20-minute drive away.

We are currently not issuing physical passes, however, you simply need to show your booking confirmation or proof of your stay at Wilksworth to gain entry to the facilities across any of our parks, all included as part of your holiday with us. Whether you're looking to try something new or would prefer to take it slow on a relaxing break, there's sure to be something to keep you entertained...

There's a first-class entertainment programme available for all ages at the sister site too. Be sure not to miss the fantastic cabarets we have lined up throughout the year, including amazing acts as seen on X Factor and Britain's Got Talent!

  • Should you need to cancel due to any unforeseen illness or injury, require medical or emergency assistance while on holiday or suffer travel disruption, you are bound by our standard holiday terms and conditions. We don't offer any holiday insurance, so for peace of mind, we would recommend purchasing holiday insurance through a third party provider.

  • BBQ stands are fitted to the decking of our Sublime caravans, Select+ lodges, Superior lodges, Superior+ lodges and Signature lodges (therefore these are not available on Statement caravans, Sensation caravans, Seaside caravans, Serene caravans, or Select lodges). These are for use with disposable BBQs.

    You may make use of your own BBQs at our self-catering parks with caution. We recommend that they are not used in the separation distance between holiday homes as this poses a fire risk.

    If using a disposable BBQ, these must be raised off the ground and should not be used on any surface that poses a fire risk or risk of scorching, such as decking or grass.

  • Yes, all our parks are pet friendly and welcome well behaved pets in designated pet-friendly accommodation and onto our touring & camping parks. Just add your pet(s) to your booking when you search. We do request that dogs are kept on a lead at all times whilst on the park. If you specifically require pet free accommodation it is best to call our Reservations Team directly on 01590 648333.

    Pet Friendly Holidays
  • Yes, the pitch price allows for one vehicle so please allow for this when calculating the pitch size required. Additional vehicles are chargeable at £4 per night and will usually have to be kept in the shared car park. We regret that commercial vehicles are not allowed on our parks.

  • We warmly welcome Rallies and offer specific discounts and special offers please call us on 01590 648333 to discuss your requirements.

    Large single sex and young mixed groups will need to seek prior approval from Shorefield Holidays and we will usually ask for a returnable security deposit.

  • At Shorefield Holidays we have a simplified pricing structure for touring and camping. Pitch price includes up to six people; one car; one tent, caravan or motorhome with awning and all the leisure and entertainment facilities at any of our parks. There are additional charges for pets, extra cars, pup tents and gazebos. We do not charge extra for the unlimited hot water in the showers.

    Please note that we do not allow more than one tent or tourer on each pitch. You will need to book one pitch for each tent, caravan or motorhome.
